Foil Christmas Cards

Hi Friends!

You can probably tell by the cards I create, that bling is on almost every card I make.  I often say bling makes a card better!

I recently decided to make some cards using the beautiful foil papers and embellishments that Stampin' Up! brought out in the Holiday Catalogue this year, along with some items from the Annual
Catalogue.  Champagne, Copper, Gold, and Silver are very eye catching, and who knew they could used together on a card?  Apparently Stampin' Up! knew and decided to share that information with us by producing the Year Of Cheer specialty designer series papers.

Pictures don't do it justice, in person it is just lovely, isn't it spectacular?  (click on the image to go to my online store for more information).

I used it on this card ....

I tend to hoard gorgeous papers, so I just used a strip of it on the left side of this card. Then I cut out some snowflakes from some Gold Foil paper and added them.  The Silver Metallic Edged Ribbon is so yummy I had to add that too. The sentiment is embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.  This card is blingy to the max!  LOL

The next card I created uses some of the Copper Foil paper ....

I used the Softly Falling embossing folder on the Copper Foil paper at the bottom and it looks like tiny jewels all over it.  When inking up the Let It Snow sentiment we inked it in Soft Suede (which is so close to copper it's unreal) then used a blender pen to remove the Soft Suede on the words and added some Garden Green using the Stampin' Write Marker.  This was then hand cut around on the frame lines and we punched a piece of copper foil with the Everyday Label punch and layered it behind.  Some snowflakes from the Seasonal Layers dies were used to cut out some copper foil and they were placed behind the sentiment.  The copper trim ribbon was used over some of the White Classic Weave Ribbon and wrapped around the layers. The designer paper on the top is from the Be Merry paper.

Sometimes I do make some "GMO" cards which is what I call Glenda Mollet Originals! What have you created lately?  Do you like to use the foil papers? You can find a list of supplies I used for both cards under my signature.
